“Hellboy” is a supernatural action film that delves into a world of dark fantasy and occultism. Alongside his fellow B.P.R.D. agents, the aquatic empath Abe Sapien (Doug Jones) and the pyrokinetic Liz Sherman (Selma Blair), Hellboy works to protect humanity from supernatural threats.
The story takes a turn when Rasputin (Karel Roden) resurfaces with a diabolical plan to bring about the end of the world by summoning the monstrous Ogdru Jahad. Rasputin manipulates Hellboy, attempting to coerce him into fulfilling his dark destiny and embracing his demonic nature.
Amidst the chaos, Hellboy confronts his inner struggles, torn between his innate demonic heritage and his desire to do good. His relationships with Liz and Abe, as well as his father figure, Professor Bruttenholm, become crucial elements in his journey of self-discovery.
